  * Born March 22nd, 1817 in NC

  * Controversial over if Bragg should be General

  * He was captured on May 19, 1865 while accompanying Davis on his flight to Florida.

   * When the war was over, he became a civil engineer in Alabama and Texas.

   * Quit the army in 1856 to run plantation

  *Led the confederate right wingat the battle of Shiloh.

  * He died on September 27th, 1876 in Galveston, Texas while walking down the road with a friend.

  * He's burried in Mobile Alabama.

  * In his honor, they named Fort Bragg after him.
